Pathways to Progress

Program Overview

The Pathways to Progress series is a structured educational initiative providing practical workshops and resources for underserved communities. The program focuses on digital literacy, financial education, workforce development, and personal growth to break cycles of poverty and build sustainable futures. 

Goals & Objectives

  1.  Enhance Educational Access: Provide free or low-cost workshops on essential life and career skills.
  2. Improve Employment Readiness: Equip participants with job-ready skills, resume building, and interview preparation.
  3. Promote Financial Stability: Deliver financial literacy training (budgeting, credit repair, entrepreneurship basics).
  4. Foster Lifelong Learning: Encourage participants to pursue higher education and vocational certifications.

Target Audience

  •  Low-income adults (ages 18–45)
  • Unemployed/underemployed individuals
  • High school graduates lacking college access
  • Returning citizens and marginalized groups

Implementation Plan

  • Duration: 6-month cycle (renewable annually)
  • Frequency: 2 workshops per week (8 workshops per month)
  • Delivery Method: Hybrid (in-person at community center + virtual via Zoom)
  • Enrollment Goal: 100 participants per cycle

 1. Digital Literacy & Technology Skills

  • Computer basics, MS Office, email usage
  • Online job applications and virtual interviews
  • Intro to coding and technology tools

2. Financial Literacy & Money Management

  • Budgeting, saving, credit building
  • Debt management and financial planning
  • Small business startup basics

3. Workforce Development & Job Readiness

  • Resume writing & cover letters
  • Interview skills (mock interviews)
  • Professional communication and workplace ethics

4. Personal Development & Leadership

  • Time management and goal setting
  • Conflict resolution and emotional intelligence
  • Community leadership training
